In this paper, we found that DPP-4 protein cleaved the NH2-terminal dipeptides of mature FGF-2. We also found that inhibition of DPP-4 suppressed capillary rarefaction and contributed to favorable remodeling of cardiac metabolism in mice with dietary obesity.

<Hello Everyone!!>

Division of Molecular Aging and Cell Biology has been founded on April 1st 2014, endowed by Bourbon Corporation Japan, at Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Niigata, Japan.

This is the joint laboratory with Department of Cardiovascular Biology and Medicine (Tohru Minamino; Professor and Chairman).

We will focus on establishing pre-emptive medicine for aging and age-related diseases.
